Overview
Check your model and year before ordering. Kia built the Soul EV with both Type 1 and Type 2 connectors depending on the model, so it is worth opening the charge flap and looking. This page covers the Type 2 version.
Assuming that is your car, this is a 32amp, 240v Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable with TÜV and CE certifications. It will only ever charge to the maximum capacity of the vehicle, so there is no risk of pushing the car harder than it is designed for.
The lead is fully weatherproof and extra thick, with connector pins insulated by a plastic covering for durability and rubber caps that keep the EV connectors protected between charges. UK and EU standard compatibility opens up households, workstations, public charging units with a Type 2 socket, and vehicles carrying one.
Supplied with a two-year manufacturer warranty. Order before 4pm for same-day dispatch, free UK delivery over £150, and 30 days to return. Browse the range in Type 2 charging cables.

Features
-
Run-over proof
Built to take the weight of a car, so you can drive over the cable without damaging it (protection against pressure).
-
All-weather rated
Rated IP55, with the Type 2 to 3-Pin version rated IP67, and built to operate from -30°C to +60°C, so it charges reliably through UK rain, frost and summer heat.
-
Type 1 and Type 2 options
Choose the connector your car uses — Type 1 (SAE J1772) or Type 2 (MENNEKES) — then plug into any UK/EU home wallbox or public AC charge point.
-
CE / TÜV certified
Independently certified to CE and TÜV, and built to the IEC 62196-2 Type 1 and Type 2 connector standards.
-
3-pin option for home sockets
Choose the 3-pin version to top up from a standard UK domestic socket when there is no wallbox nearby. It is a separate cable option, not an attachment.
Installation
- 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
- 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
- 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
