30-day returns on any unused cable or charger. 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Free return postage on faulty items. No questions, no fuss.
Your statutory rights
Your rights as a consumer in the UK are protected by:
- Consumer Rights Act 2015 — goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If they're not, you have a 30-day right to reject for a full refund.
- Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — for online purchases, you have a 14-day right to cancel from the day you receive the goods, for any reason.
Nothing in this policy reduces or replaces those statutory rights.
Standard 30-day returns
We offer a 30-day return window from the day your order is delivered, beyond what the law strictly requires. To qualify:
- The product must be unused, unmounted and uninstalled.
- It must be in its original packaging with all accessories included.
- Cables must show no signs of installation, plug-in, or kerb damage.
If you've changed your mind, email help@evcablehub.co.uk within 30 days of delivery with your order number. We'll send a returns label.
- For change-of-mind returns, return postage is paid by the customer (typically £4.95 with our prepaid label).
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 working days of receipt of the returned goods, after inspection.
14-day right to cancel
You have an unconditional right to cancel any online purchase within 14 days of receipt, for any reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
To exercise this right, email us at help@evcablehub.co.uk with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel — within 14 days of receipt. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Faulty or damaged items
If a product arrives faulty or damaged, contact us within 30 days. We will:
- Send a free prepaid returns label.
- Inspect the returned item and confirm the fault within 5 working days.
- Replace the item or issue a full refund (your choice), within 14 days of receipt.
- Pay return postage in full.
Warranty claims (after 30 days)
Every cable and wallbox we sell has a 3-year minimum warranty (many extend to 5 years). For warranty claims after the 30-day return window:
- Email help@evcablehub.co.uk with your order number, photos and a description of the fault.
- We administer warranty claims on your behalf — we don't make you chase the manufacturer.
- Resolution is replacement, repair or refund at our discretion, in line with the manufacturer's warranty terms.
Items we cannot accept back
- Made-to-order or custom-cut cables (where you've specified a non-standard length or colour).
- Wallboxes that have been installed by an electrician (warranty still applies; return does not).
- Products returned outside the 30-day window with no warranty fault.
How to start a return
Email help@evcablehub.co.uk with:
- Your order number (begins EVCH-)
- The product(s) you'd like to return
- Reason: change of mind, fault, or warranty
- For faulty items, photographs of the fault
We'll reply within one working day with a returns label and address.
