Leapmotor EV Charging Cables
Type 2 charging cables for the Leapmotor range. Leapmotor cars use a Type 2 socket, so the same leads suit the T03 and the C10, and the onboard charger rating decides which power rating is worth buying.
Which Leapmotor?
We'll preselect the variant that fits.
Choosing the right cable for your Leapmotor
Leapmotor reaches Britain through a Stellantis distribution arrangement, which means dealer access is better than most new Chinese marques. The cars themselves share one characteristic that decides the cable question immediately: a modest onboard AC charger across the range.
Connector spec by model
- T03 (2024+): Type 2 + CCS. 6.6kW AC. 37.3kWh battery.
- C10 (2024+): Type 2 + CCS. 6.6kW AC. 69.9kWh battery. Also sold as a range-extender version with a petrol generator.
6.6kW across the range is the whole story
Neither car accepts more than 6.6kW on AC, which a 32amp single-phase lead already exceeds. That settles it: the three-phase cable is capacity neither model can touch, and even the 32amp lead has headroom. The only reason to choose it over the 16amp version is that it suits a faster car later.
The C10 range extender charges the same way
The REEV version carries a petrol generator alongside a smaller usable battery. It plugs in through the same Type 2 socket at the same rate. The difference is in how often you need to: a range extender removes the anxiety, which in practice means owners charge less deeply and less regularly.
A big battery on a slow charger
The 69.9kWh C10 at 6.6kW is a little under eleven hours from empty. That is genuinely an overnight car rather than one to top up between errands, and it is worth knowing before you plan around it.
Length recommendations
The T03 is a small city car where 5m often suffices. The C10 is a family SUV where 10m is the sensible default. Compare across our Type 2 charging cables.
