GDPR policy

This policy summarises our commitments to data protection under the UK GDPR (the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For full detail of what we collect and why, please read our Privacy Policy.

Our commitment

EV Cable Hub Ltd is committed to protecting the personal information of customers, prospects and visitors. We treat data protection as a strategic obligation, not a tick-box exercise.

Data Protection Officer

We are not legally required to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO) under Article 37 of the UK GDPR — our processing does not meet the thresholds. We have, however, appointed a senior member of staff with day-to-day responsibility for data protection, reachable at privacy@evcablehub.co.uk.

Principles

We follow the seven principles of UK GDPR Article 5:

  1. Lawfulness, fairness and transparency — we tell you what we collect, why, and on what basis.
  2. Purpose limitation — data is collected for specific purposes and not used incompatibly.
  3. Data minimisation — we collect only what we need.
  4. Accuracy — we keep records accurate and up to date.
  5. Storage limitation — we retain personal information only for as long as needed (see retention schedule in the Privacy Policy).
  6. Integrity and confidentiality — we protect data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
  7. Accountability — we keep records of processing activities and review them.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object — and the right to withdraw consent and complain to the ICO. Full detail and how to exercise these rights is in our Privacy Policy.

Data breaches

If we suffer a personal data breach that is likely to result in risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours under Article 33, and notify affected individuals where the risk is high under Article 34.

Vendor management

We carry out due diligence on every processor that handles personal data on our behalf, and we have written data-processing agreements with all of them — covering Article 28 requirements, sub-processor approval, security measures and audit rights.

Training

Every member of our team receives data-protection training on joining and refresher training annually.

Contact and escalation

For any GDPR matter, email privacy@evcablehub.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
