Equality, diversity & inclusion policy
EV Cable Hub Ltd is built by a small team that draws strength from difference. This policy sets out our commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in everything we do — from how we hire, to how we serve customers, to how we choose suppliers.
Our commitment
We are committed to providing a workplace and a customer experience free from discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying — actively, not just legally.
Equality Act 2010
We comply fully with the Equality Act 2010 and do not discriminate, directly or indirectly, on the basis of any protected characteristic:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender reassignment
- Marriage and civil partnership
- Pregnancy and maternity
- Race
- Religion or belief
- Sex
- Sexual orientation
Recruitment and employment
- Job specifications focus on the skills and experience the role genuinely requires.
- Selection panels include at least two people where practical.
- We make reasonable adjustments at every stage of the recruitment process and throughout employment for disabled candidates and employees.
- We pay at or above the Real Living Wage as defined by the Living Wage Foundation, regardless of legal minimum-wage thresholds.
Customer service
- Our website is built to WCAG 2.1 AA.
- Customer-service correspondence avoids gendered assumptions and uses plain English.
- Where a customer needs an alternative format (large print, screen-reader-friendly invoice, etc.), we provide it on request.
Suppliers
We expect our suppliers to operate to comparable standards and to comply with relevant national equality legislation. We may decline to work with suppliers whose own conduct is incompatible with this policy.
Complaints and reporting
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment or unfair treatment by anyone connected with EV Cable Hub — staff, supplier, partner — please contact ethics@evcablehub.co.uk. Reports are taken seriously, investigated promptly and treated in confidence as far as the investigation allows.
Review
This policy is reviewed annually by the directors of EV Cable Hub Ltd, and at any time when there is a material change in legislation or our business.
