Code of ethics
Our Code of Ethics applies to every director, employee, contractor and supplier of EV Cable Hub Ltd. It expresses, in plain language, the standards we hold ourselves to.
Our promise
We do business honestly. We don't mislead customers about products. We don't take pay-to-play money to recommend product. We tell the truth about prices, lead times and warranty terms — even when the truth is inconvenient.
How we treat customers
- We give honest pre-sales advice, including telling you not to buy from us if a different product is a better fit.
- We disclose all costs before checkout — no hidden fees, no dark patterns.
- We honour our 3-year minimum warranty and 30-day return policy in spirit, not just letter.
- We do not use deceptive countdown timers, fake stock indicators, or fabricated reviews.
How we treat each other
- We pay people fairly — at or above the Real Living Wage.
- We treat colleagues with respect, regardless of seniority.
- We celebrate disagreement when it sharpens decisions, but we never tolerate harassment or bullying.
- We give credit publicly and feedback privately.
How we treat suppliers
- We pay invoices on time, every time.
- We negotiate hard but fairly.
- We commit to long relationships when products earn them, and we don't switch suppliers solely for short-term margin.
- We expect suppliers to operate to high labour and environmental standards (see our Modern Slavery statement).
Editorial independence
The product reviews, comparison guides and journal articles published on this site are written without commercial influence from manufacturers. See our Editorial Policy for the specifics.
Conflicts of interest
- Staff disclose any personal financial interest in a supplier.
- Staff do not accept gifts from suppliers worth more than £50, except as part of standard product testing.
- Staff do not write reviews or comparison content covering a brand in which they hold a material interest.
Anti-bribery and corruption
We comply fully with the Bribery Act 2010. We do not offer, promise, give, request, agree to receive or accept bribes — directly or indirectly — to obtain or retain business, in the UK or anywhere else. Suppliers found offering improper inducements will be dropped.
Speaking up
If you witness conduct that breaches this Code — by anyone connected with EV Cable Hub — email ethics@evcablehub.co.uk. Reports are confidential. We do not retaliate against people who report in good faith.
