Some Enyaq trims accept 11kW AC on three-phase; on a standard single-phase UK supply, 7kW is your rating. The cables here come in 7kW and 22kW with Mode 2 (3-pin granny) options for emergency charging.

Škoda's electric range (Enyaq iV, Enyaq Coupé iV, Elroq) sits on the VW Group MEB platform shared with VW ID models, Audi Q4 e-tron and Cupra Born. Type 2 AC + CCS DC across the line. 11kW AC universally. The Enyaq is one of the most-installed UK EVs in 2024-2025.

Every modern Škoda EV caps at 11kW AC: same as VW, Audi, Cupra.

  • 11kW three-phase: ~45 miles/hour. 77kWh Enyaq battery refills overnight in ~7 hours.
  • 7.4kW single-phase: ~25-30 miles/hour. Same battery in 10-11 hours.

Length recommendations

Škoda charge ports are at the rear-right on Enyaq and Elroq. For typical UK driveways: 7.5m or 10m Type 2 cable.

VW Group platform consistency

The Enyaq, Elroq, VW ID.4/5, Cupra Born, Audi Q4 e-tron all share platform. Electrically interchangeable cable-wise. The differences are in trim, app integration (My Škoda vs My VW vs my Audi vs Cupra Connect) and badge price.

Smart-tariff integration

My Škoda app does basic scheduling, integrates with VW Group services. For Octopus Intelligent integration, pair with Ohme; for solar-PV pair with MyEnergi Zappi.

Every current UK Skoda EV uses Type 2 (Mode 3). Older Skoda hybrids or pre-2018 EVs may use Type 1, check your charge port: hexagonal 7-pin = Type 2, square 5-pin = Type 1.
What length cable should I get for my Skoda?
10m suits most UK home setups. 5m if your wallbox is right next to where you park. 15-25m for awkward driveway layouts.
What rating? 7kW or 22kW?
Match to your wallbox. UK home wallboxes are mostly 7kW (32A single-phase). 22kW only relevant if you have a three-phase supply.
