Which Ferrari?
We'll preselect the variant that fits.
Choosing the right cable for your Ferrari
Ferrari's plug-in hybrids carry the smallest batteries of any plug-in car we list. The electric hardware exists to fill torque gaps and drive the front axle, not to replace fuel, and every sensible charging decision follows from that.
Connector spec by model
- SF90 Stradale / Spider: Type 2. Around 7.9kWh battery. Low onboard AC charger. No DC rapid charging.
- 296 GTB / GTS: Type 2. Around 7.45kWh battery. No DC rapid charging.
No rapid charging, and none needed
Neither car has a CCS socket, so every charge goes through the AC lead. On a battery under 8kWh that is not a limitation: even a household socket refills it in a couple of hours.
The 16amp lead is the whole answer
There is nothing for a higher rating to do here. A 32amp cable will not charge these cars faster, and a 22kW three-phase lead would be the least useful purchase on this website. If you are buying one cable for a Ferrari, buy the cheapest Type 2 lead in a length that reaches comfortably.
Where these cars actually get charged
Most are kept in a garage rather than on a driveway, often alongside other cars, and frequently not moved for weeks. That argues for a lead long enough to reach past whatever else is parked in the way, and for leaving it permanently connected to the wall rather than coiling it after every use.
Length recommendations
Measure the real route through the garage rather than the straight-line distance. 10m is a safer default than the tape measure suggests. Compare across our Type 2 charging cables.
What we stock for Ferrari
- Type 2 to Type 2 cables from 5m to 20m, with 3.6kW the relevant rating.
- Type 2 to 3-pin Mode 2 leads, a realistic primary charger on a battery this small.
