Peugeot EV & Hybrid Charging Cables

Every Peugeot EV and plug-in hybrid sold new in the UK charges through a Type 2 inlet, which keeps the decision simple. What is left is length and power. Five metres reaches the car on most driveways when the wallbox is on the house wall. Ten metres is for the awkward cases: a shared car park, a charger on the far side of the garage, or parking nose-out one week and nose-in the next.

Seven cables in this selection. Order before 4pm for same-day dispatch, with free next-working-day delivery on orders over £150.

Peugeot charging cables for UK EV owners

Which Peugeot?

We'll preselect the variant that fits.

We read your charge port, max AC rate and phase from DVLA data, then take you to the exact variant.

Choosing the right cable for your Peugeot

Peugeot has one of the broadest plug-in ranges in Britain, from the e-208 supermini to the e-5008 seven-seater and a pair of electric vans. They all share Stellantis charging hardware, so a single lead covers the lot, but the batteries span 50kWh to 98kWh and that is a wide spread for one cable to serve.

Connector spec by model

  • e-208 / e-2008: Type 2 + CCS. 7.4kW AC standard, 11kW optional. 50kWh or 51kWh.
  • e-308 / e-308 SW: Type 2 + CCS. 11kW AC. 54kWh.
  • e-3008 / e-5008: Type 2 + CCS. 11kW AC. 73kWh or 98kWh.
  • e-Partner / e-Rifter: Type 2 + CCS. 7.4kW or 11kW AC. 50kWh.
  • 308 / 3008 / 408 / 508 Plug-in Hybrid: Type 2. 3.7kW standard, 7.4kW optional. 12.4kWh to 21kWh.

The 98kWh e-5008 is the one that changes the maths

On a single-phase home wallbox at 7.4kW, 98kWh is a fourteen-hour charge from empty. That is longer than a night. In practice nobody runs a battery to zero and back, but it does mean the big Peugeots reward three-phase where a property has it: at 11kW the same charge falls to about nine hours. On the e-208 the difference is far less interesting, because 50kWh fills overnight either way.

The optional 11kW charger is worth checking

Stellantis sells the faster onboard charger as an option across the range, so two identical-looking e-2008s can charge at different rates. It does not change which cable to buy, since a British home supply is single-phase, but it explains a difference you may notice against another owner's car.

The plug-in hybrids are 3.7kW cars unless specified otherwise

A 308 Plug-in Hybrid on the standard charger fills its battery in three to four hours. The 16amp cable is enough. Buying the 32amp lead is still reasonable if an electric car is next.

Length recommendations

Peugeot charge ports sit on the rear wing on most models. 10m is the sensible default, 5m only if the wallbox is beside the parking space. Compare across our Type 2 charging cables.

What we stock for Peugeot

  • Type 2 to Type 2 cables from 5m to 20m, 3.6kW to 22kW.
  • Type 2 to 3-pin Mode 2 leads for household sockets.
  • The same leads fit Citroën, Vauxhall and DS on the shared platform.

Questions

What cable does a Peugeot e-208 need?
A Type 2 lead. The 32amp single-phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable suits it whether the car has the 7.4kW or 11kW onboard charger.
Is the three-phase cable worth it on an e-3008 or e-5008?
Only if the property has three-phase power. On the 98kWh e-5008 it would cut a full charge from about fourteen hours to about nine, which is the biggest gain anywhere in the range.
What rating for a 308 or 3008 plug-in hybrid?
The 16amp cable. On the standard charger these accept 3.7kW, so a faster lead cannot speed them up.
Why does my Peugeot charge slower than the same model belonging to someone else?
The 11kW onboard charger is an option rather than standard. Two identical-looking cars can have different charging hardware.
Will a Citroën or Vauxhall cable fit?
Yes. These brands share Stellantis platforms and the same Type 2 arrangement.
