Geely EV Charging Cables
Type 2 charging cables for the Geely range.
Which Geely?
We'll preselect the variant that fits.
Choosing the right cable for your Geely
Most British drivers have owned a Geely product without knowing it. The group owns Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and the London taxi company, and Geely-badged cars share the same charging engineering as all of them.
Connector spec by model
- EX5 and other Geely-badged electric models: Type 2 + CCS. Up to 11kW AC. Battery around 60kWh upwards depending on version.
The group connection is the useful part
Because Geely engineers the platforms used by Volvo and Polestar, the charging arrangement is the same one those cars use. Any lead sold for a Volvo EX30 or a Polestar 2 is the correct part for a Geely. That is a much larger and better-supplied market than the Geely badge alone, which works in your favour on price and availability.
Ordinary AC charging
An 11kW onboard charger on a British single-phase home means the car draws 7.4kW, so a 60kWh battery is around eight hours from empty. The 32amp single-phase lead is the everyday cable and the three-phase version only matters on a property with three-phase power.
A new badge on familiar engineering
Where a new marque usually means uncertainty about parts, Geely is the opposite case. The underlying hardware has been in the UK market for years under other names, and the charging components are entirely standard.
