Terms & conditions
These terms govern your use of evcablehub.co.uk and the contracts you form with us when you buy products. They apply to UK consumer purchases. By placing an order you accept these terms.
1. Who we are
"EV Cable Hub", "we", "us" and "our" mean EV Cable Hub Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Email help@evcablehub.co.uk.
2. Acceptance and your status
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18, that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are buying as a consumer for personal use. If you are buying as a business, please contact trade@evcablehub.co.uk; different terms may apply.
3. The contract
The order process is:
- You add products to cart and submit an order.
- You receive an order-acknowledgement email — this is not yet a contract; it confirms receipt of your order.
- Once your order is dispatched, you receive a dispatch email — at this point a contract of sale is formed between you and us.
- If we cannot fulfil your order (out of stock, payment problem, suspected fraud), we will notify you and refund any payment in full.
4. Price and payment
- All prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where applicable.
- Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you confirm.
- Payment is taken at the time you place the order.
- If a product is mispriced (e.g. obvious typographical error), we will contact you before dispatch and offer to fulfil at the correct price or cancel and refund.
5. Delivery
See our Shipping policy for delivery times, costs and coverage. Risk in goods passes to you on delivery to your nominated address. Title passes when we receive payment in full.
6. Right to cancel and returns
You have a 14-day right to cancel any online purchase under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, plus a 30-day return policy on unused goods, as set out in our Returns & Refunds policy.
7. Faulty goods and warranty
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, products you buy from us must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they're not, you have a 30-day right to reject for a full refund, after which repair or replacement applies for the warranty period.
We offer a 3-year minimum manufacturer warranty on every cable and charger we sell (many products extend to 5 years). Warranty terms vary by product; the warranty card or product page sets out the specifics. We administer all warranty claims on your behalf.
8. Product information and installation
Product descriptions, technical specifications and compatibility advice on this site are accurate to the best of our knowledge but you should verify compatibility with your specific vehicle, electrical supply or wallbox before ordering. EV charging products must be installed only by competent persons in line with BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition) and any local electrical codes. Improper installation may invalidate warranty and create safety hazards.
9. Intellectual property
All content on evcablehub.co.uk — text, images, logos, code — is owned by EV Cable Hub Ltd or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute or commercially exploit it without our written permission.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, to bypass security, to scrape content systematically, to introduce malware, or to impersonate another person. We may suspend or terminate access where these terms are breached.
11. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any single claim under or in connection with a contract of sale is limited to the price you paid for the affected product. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (e.g. loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, loss of data).
12. Personal information
How we collect and use your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control — including supplier failure, courier disruption, government action, pandemic, severe weather and similar.
14. Variation
We may vary these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place an order applies to that order.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that consumers in Scotland and Northern Ireland retain the right to bring proceedings in their local courts.
16. Alternative dispute resolution
If a dispute cannot be resolved through our complaints procedure, you may refer it to an Alternative Dispute Resolution provider. EU consumers may use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
