Overview

Geely is better known in Britain through the brands it owns than under its own badge. Volvo, Polestar, Lotus and the London taxi all sit under the same group, and Geely-branded cars use the same Type 2 charging arrangement as its stablemates.

Practically that means there is nothing unusual to buy. A 32amp single-phase Type 2 to Type 2 lead is the everyday cable, and any lead that fits a Volvo fits a Geely.

Every cable is CE and TUV certified, IP55 rated and carries a two-year warranty.

Installation

  1. 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
  2. 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
  3. 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
  4. 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.

What cable does a Geely need?
A Type 2 lead. The 32amp single-phase Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the everyday one.
Is it the same as a Volvo cable?
Yes. Geely owns Volvo, and both use the standard Type 2 connector.
Will it work on public chargers?
Yes. Type 2 is the standard connector on UK public AC posts.
What is covered by the warranty?
Every cable we sell carries a 24 month manufacturer warranty, on top of CE and TUV certification and an IP55 weather rating. Returns are 30 days.
