Overview
The electric Omoda 5 charges through a Type 2 socket, with an onboard AC charger of around 7.4kW.
That number happens to line up almost exactly with what a single-phase British home can deliver, which makes the buying decision unusually simple. A 32A single-phase cable gets everything the car is capable of. A three-phase lead would be money wasted, because even where a post offers the extra capacity, the Omoda has no way to use it.
Worth knowing: the Omoda also supports vehicle-to-load, so if you want mains power out of the battery for tools or camping, that calls for a separate discharge cable rather than a charging one. Those live in our V2L adapters collection.
Which cable to choose
- Type 2 to Type 2. The everyday lead, for home wallboxes and public posts alike. 5m if the charger sits beside where you park, 10m if it is on the far wall or you use public bays.
- Type 2 to 3-pin. A Mode 2 lead for a household socket. Slow at 2.3kW and not a main charger, but worth keeping in the boot.
Every cable we sell is CE and TUV certified, IP55 rated against British weather, and carries a two-year warranty.
The rest of the Omoda range sits on our Omoda charging cables page.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
