Overview
The Chevrolet Bolt uses a Type 1 inlet, so it needs a Type 1 to Type 2 lead: a Type 1 plug at the vehicle end and a Type 2 plug at the charger end. We stock it in two lengths, 5m and 10m, in 16amp and 32amp.
A charging cable only ever charges as fast as the car allows, and the Bolt's ceiling is 7.4kW. That makes the 32amp lead the one to buy. It gets you from empty to full in eight hours flat, against a little over sixteen hours on the 16amp version, which is the difference between an overnight charge and a day and a night.
Because the charger end is Type 2, the same cable works at UK and EU standard charging points, so you can plug in at home, at a workstation or at a public unit with a Type 2 socket while still connecting a Type 1 car at the other end. Attached rubber covers go over the plugs when the cable is not in use, and the whole lead is completely weatherproof, TUV and CE certified.
- Type 1 to Type 2 charging cable
- IP66 rated cable

Run-over proof
Built to take the weight of a car, so you can drive over the cable without damaging it (protection against pressure).

Rated IP55 and built to operate from -30°C to +60°C, so it charges reliably through UK rain, frost and summer heat.
-
Type 1 vehicle fit
Made for Type 1 (SAE J1772) electric vehicles. The Type 2 version plugs into any UK/EU home wallbox or public AC charge point.

- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
- 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
- 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
