Overview
The A7 TFSI e arrived alongside the A6 TFSI e and gave Audi a second plug-in hybrid executive saloon. The cabin quality and the performance figures are exactly what the badge promises. What matters here is that it charges at 7kW, which makes it a straightforward first electric car for a lot of company drivers.
We supply the Audi A7 TFSI e charging cable in two lengths, 5m and 10m. The car accepts a maximum of 7/7.4kW, so a Type 2 to Type 2 32amp lead is the one to pick. It fills the battery in roughly two hours, which is the same time you would get from a 32amp three-phase 22kW cable, so there is nothing to gain by paying for the bigger lead on this car.
Every cable works with UK and EU standard charging points, so one lead covers your driveway, the office car park and public posts. Each connector has a rubber cover to keep dust and weather out, and the cable is fully weatherproof, TUV and CE certified.
On length: 5m suits a driveway where the car parks alongside the wallbox. If the charger sits on the far side of the garage, or you park nose-in on a street bay, the 10m lead saves a lot of shuffling.

Installation
- 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
