Overview
Ten metres is the length people reach for when five will not do. We stock four different 10m leads, and they do quite different jobs:
- 10m Type 2 to Type 2 charging cable: the everyday lead, for charging at home and at public Type 2 stations alike.
- 10m 3-pin to Type 2 charging cable: for charging from a standard household outlet where there is no dedicated charging station.
- 10m Type 2 extension cable: extra reach for the times your main cable falls short of the charging point.
- 10m tethered charging cable: stays attached to a fixed home charging station, so you park and plug in.
The extra reach matters more than people expect. It covers a charger fitted around the side of the house, a bay where you cannot park nose-on, and public posts that end up on the wrong side of the car. Speed does not suffer for the length either: a 10m cable delivers exactly the same charging rate as a shorter one, and the weather-resistant build means it copes with being left out.
Every 10m cable carries a two-year warranty, works with all UK charging stations, and is CE and TUV safety certified with an IP66 rating, so rain and dust are not a problem in British weather.
10m EV charging cables: charging speeds by type
| Cable type | Charging capacity | Charging speed | Recommended use |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10m Type 2, 1-phase, 16A | Up to 3.7 kW | 6-8 hours for a full charge | Ideal for overnight home charging |
| 10m Type 2, 1-phase, 32A | Up to 7.4 kW | 3-4 hours for a full charge | Suitable for faster home or workplace charging |
| 10m Type 2, 3-phase, 32A | Up to 22 kW | 1-2 hours for a full charge | Best for rapid charging on the go |
| 10m 3-pin to Type 2 | Up to 2.3 kW | 8-12 hours for a full charge | For occasional or extended home charging |
Need more reach still? Our 15m EV charging cables go further, and the full Type 2 range covers every other length we hold.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
