Overview
The Lexus RZ is built to be easy to live with on charge, at home, at work or on the public network. Two leads cover almost every situation. A Type 2 to Type 2 cable is the one you use day to day, on a home wallbox or a public post. A Type 2 to 3-pin lead lets you charge from an ordinary household socket when there is no dedicated charge point, which is worth having in the boot even if it never becomes your main method.

Those times are from empty to full, which is a state most drivers rarely reach. In practice you are topping up from half, so halve the numbers in your head.

Three-phase option
Pick the 32A three-phase version to charge at up to 22kW where a three-phase supply is available. The single-phase versions charge at up to 7.2kW on a standard home wallbox.
Installation
- 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
- 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
- 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.
