Overview
The new Ford Transits require a Type 2 charging cable, and we stock it in two forms: one that plugs into a 3 pin socket, and one suitable for a charging station. Both are built to be durable and to give you the maximum charge speed at all times.
The new Transit is capable of charging at 7.4kW, so a 32 amp cable is what you need to reach that speed. A 16 amp lead will still charge the van, just more slowly.
Three lengths are available: 5m, 10m and 15m, which is worth a thought for yard parking or anywhere the post sits well away from the bay.

Choose the 3-pin version to top up from a standard UK domestic socket when there is no wallbox nearby. It is a separate cable option, not an attachment.

Three-phase option
Pick the 32A three-phase version to charge at up to 22kW where a three-phase supply is available. The single-phase versions charge at up to 7.2kW on a standard home wallbox.
Installation
- 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
- 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
- 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.
