Overview
The Sonata uses a Type 1 inlet, so the cable you need is Type 1 to Type 2: Type 2 into the charging point, Type 1 into the car. We stock it in two lengths, 5m and 10m, at 16amp and 32amp.
Both ratings give the same result on this car. The Sonata will not charge faster than its maximum capacity of 3.7kW, so the 16amp lead is the sensible buy. Rubber caps on the connectors keep bad weather and dust out between charges, and every cable is TÜV and CE certified.
| Type | Capacity | Time to charge | Our recommendation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Type 1, 1-phase 16A | 3.7 kW | 2h 30m | Best fit |
| Type 1, 1-phase 32A | 7.4 kW | 2h 30m |
Two-year manufacturer warranty and free UK delivery within the UK on orders over £150. See related leads in replacement EV cables.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
