Overview
Charging a Mazda CX-60 is simple enough once you have the right lead, and this is it: a Type 2 AC charging cable, offered with a Type 2 plug at both ends for charging stations, or with a household plug on one end for a standard three-pin socket.
The numbers first. The CX-60 is a plug-in hybrid with a 17.8 kWh battery, giving roughly 39 miles of electric range. Connect to a charging station with a power output of at least 7.2 kW and a full charge from empty takes roughly 7 hours, which makes it comfortably an overnight job on a home wallbox.
No charging station where you park? An ordinary three-pin household outlet will still do the job. Domestic sockets supply around 2.3 kW, so expect approximately 20 hours from empty. That makes three-pin charging a sensible backup or occasional option rather than your main method, and a good reason to keep one of those leads in the boot for trips to friends and family.
Our CX-60 cables come in 5m, 10m, 15m and 20m, in 16A or 32A, single or three-phase, rated at 3.6kW, 7.2kW or 22kW depending on the version you choose. All are built to IEC 62196-2 (Type 2 / MENNEKES, 7-pin) with 2.5 to 6mm² copper conductors, IP55 weatherproofing, a -30°C to +60°C operating range and a run-over proof outer sheath. CE marked, TÜV certified, and covered by a 24 month manufacturer warranty.
Not sure which length suits where you park? Compare the full Type 2 range, or get in touch and we will talk it through.

Features
-
Run-over proof
Built to take the weight of a car, so you can drive over the cable without damaging it (protection against pressure).
-
All-weather rated
Rated IP55, with the Type 2 to 3-Pin version rated IP67, and built to operate from -30°C to +60°C, so it charges reliably through UK rain, frost and summer heat.
-
Universal Type 2 fit
Works with all Type 2 electric vehicles and every UK/EU home wallbox and public AC charge point. No brand lock-in.
-
CE / TÜV certified
Independently certified to CE and TÜV, and built to the IEC 62196-2 Type 2 connector standard.
-
3-pin option for home sockets
Choose the 3-pin version to top up from a standard UK domestic socket when there is no wallbox nearby. It is a separate cable option, not an attachment.
-
Three-phase option
Pick the 32A three-phase version to charge at up to 22kW where a three-phase supply is available. The single-phase versions charge at up to 7.2kW on a standard home wallbox.
Installation
- 01Unlock the car - most won't accept a cable while locked.
- 02Wallbox end first, then the car. Push until the latch clicks.
- 03Check the car shows a charging state before you walk away.
- 04Coil loosely into the bag - no tight figure-of-eights.

First class service
First class service. Ordered 15m cable and it was delivered next day. Minor hiccup in that the accompanying bag was missing. Quick email to Jake at EV Cable Hub and the bag arrived next working day. 1st class product and even better customer service. Thank you.
