Overview

This is the longest lead we make: a 20m Type 2 to Type 2 EV charging cable, rated 32A single-phase at 7.2kW, for when the charge point and the car are nowhere near each other. Twenty metres covers a post on the far side of a shared car park, a run around the corner of a building, or a driveway where the wallbox went on the wrong wall.

The cable is built for outdoor life. The jacket is rated IP55, the operating range runs from -30°C to +60°C, and the outer sheath is run-over proof, so sun, rain and frost are all part of the job.

Both connectors are built to IEC 62196-2, CE marked and TÜV certified, so the lead fits UK charging stations and meets European safety standards.

FAQs

Will this cable fit my car?
Yes, if your car has a Type 2 inlet. Almost every EV sold new in the UK since 2018 uses Type 2; Type 1 appears on older and imported models. Check your charge port has a 7-pin Type 2 socket, or use our reg checker.
Which cable length should I choose?
Most driveways are fine with 5m. Choose 7-10m if the charge point is wall-mounted away from where you park or your charge port is on the far side of the car, and 15-20m for on-street or awkward layouts. Available here in 20m.
Can I use it at public charge points as well as at home?
Yes. This is a Mode 3 Type 2 cable, so it works at your home wallbox and at any untethered public AC charge point. Rapid DC chargers (motorway) come with their own tethered cables, so you don't need one for those.
Is it safe to leave outside in the rain?
Yes. The cable and connectors are rated IP55 and built for -30°C to +60°C, so they're safe in UK rain, frost and snow. Don't submerge the connectors in standing water.
What warranty and delivery do I get?
