This lead is the bit that lets you use it, with a standard UK socket at the charge port end. Charging e-bikes at a trailhead or running a hedge trimmer at the bottom of the garden are typical jobs for it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSwitching it on\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlug it into the Type 2 charge port, then choose the discharge option on the car's infotainment screen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat it will run\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUp to 2.5kW of load, depending on the model. A 60W laptop charger, a 45W cool box and LED lights are easy. A standard UK kettle draws about 3kW, which is more than the car will give, so take a 1.5kW to 2kW travel kettle and leave the fan heater at home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhich car it fits\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMG4 EV, 2022 on. The car decides whether discharge is available, so the lead only works on models that support V2L.
